When is high season and when is low season in Koh Phangan? The high season includes the Christmas/New Year period, the Easter Holidays in mid April. Low season is June through August when the weather is the warmest. Unlike bungalow resorts, house rental prices are the same for every season. In high season the availability of houses is lower.

What can the weather be like in Koh Phangan per season? October through May is the most ideal climate with temperatures ranging from. June through September is the warmest with average daily temperatures in the summer reaching 40 degree Celsius and in winter getting down to 15 degree Celsius.

How can we book a vacation home, villa or apartment? You can book by using the 'contact agent' button on the detail page of the rental house you are interested in. We will send you a reply within 24 hours or give you a call to answer any possible questions you might have. If the place is available to the requested time, we will send you an email with a link to your advance payment bill. Once we receive the required deposit, the house or apartment is booked for you.

How much do we to pay in advance to confirm a reservation? You pay 50% of the rental for booking to reserve any property in advance.

What payment options are available on your site? You can can choose between Credit card (Visa, Master Card, American Express) or Wire transfer, all offered from our online payment provider PayPal. Please note, when you pay via Wire transfer (Bank to Bank), the completion of your payment can take up to 7 days. If you book on short notice, please use a credit card for payment, so we can confirm your booking at the same day.

How do we know when an accommodation has been booked for us? Your accommodation has been booked, once we confirm the received advance payment.

Can we book an accommodation for less than a week? In most cases this is possible to rent for less than a week, especially in the low season.

Do we get a discount if we stay more than two weeks? Sorry, no ... the prices for most for our rental properties are based on a monthly rent. If you are trent for more than 3 month a discount can be possible, depending on the season.

What are the advantages of renting a private villa? There are many reasons:

1. Private accommodation offers you, your family and friends a truly local style atmosphere, more space, more comfort, more informality, more privacy, and more personal service.

2. Renting a private house through PhanganIsland.com is great value. When calculated on a per bedroom or per person basis and considering all the "extras" you'd have to pay in a hotel, a rented vacation home is significantly cheaper than staying at Koh Phangan’s luxury hotels or resorts. Expenses for food and drink, snacks, laundry etc are charged at cost and therefore much lower compared to a hotel where they can easily double or triple your bill. When you rent a private house, you'll save about US$40 to US$80 or more per person per day on food & beverages and "extras" compared to staying at a good hotel.

Should I rent a car or motorbike?. It is definitely recommended. There is no public transport system on Koh Phangan. Car rentals are quite affordable by international standards. Motorbikes can be rented from PhanganIsland.com for a discounted price.

How much does it cost to rent your properties ? Rental prices depend on the number of bedrooms, location, season, and facilities of the particular property. Generally speaking, you should expect to pay between US$10 for a one bedroom house away from the beach up to US$50 a night for a 3/4 bedroom beach villa with private pool in one of the more desirable areas.

When should I make my reservation? Koh Phangan is experiencing a major tourist boom and therefore demand is high. So book as early as you can. Our policy is strictly first-come, first-serve. It is recommended to book the Christmas/New Year period at least 3-4 months in advance or more if you have unique requirements. We would also recommend booking other high season periods at least 2-3 months in advance.
